Policy and Research
This page follows the former Our work section and summarises its historical text; it is not a verbatim copy.
The Commission drew on expert evidence to advise government on linked environmental, social and economic questions. Its policy work sought solutions across departments rather than treating each issue in isolation.
Its research asked how government could support a sustainable economy, protect environmental limits, reduce disadvantage, enable more sustainable lives and organise itself to deliver lasting results.
